please read the rules folks. You can only add 6 guys a year and cannot replace them unless a minor leaguer of yours loses eligibility (by crossing the 130AB/50IP threshold,) or if you drop one of the 6 you added. This means you cannot just drop one of your kept/drafted minor leaguers and add another minor leaguer.

Had no clue I was following Jackson's lead.
Bobby you probably should go back to page 2 and check every MiLB acquisitions. Which ones are valid and which ones ain't. I have a feeling which ones I screwed up on? Dropped KIbler twice. lol That was a honest mistake.

What Mack wrote on that page was this; 2. You may only select 6 MiLB free-agents. Exceptions:
a. You may drop a MiLB player to pick up another after you've selected your first 6
b. You may select a minor league FA to replace a MILB player that you've promoted, but only if said player is promoted due to loss of eligibility.I always took that as we could only add 6 guys after the draft, after that if you want someone you have to drop one of your players. You couldn't just add players until you got to 20. The only way to add someone without dropping a player after picking up 6 guys is if one of your players loses MiLB status. It doesn't say anything about the add/drops having to be guys you originally picked up with your 6 moves. To my knowledge this has never been enforced, I've probably added and dropped 100 minor leaguers since we started this.

I thought Mack made a clarification last year that we couldn't drop a drafted/kept player to a 7th player. I found the thread where he said that, but then when he posted the official "rule" it appeared as you have quoted it. I have been operating under the incorrect assumption all along. In this case, Bergesen and Watts would be the only invalid adds, Bergesen because he is the 7th add without dropping a player, and Watts because of the Jon Kibler thing. Everything else Don and Gary did was okay, sorry.

We should have Mack weigh in on this, and possibly have a rule change down the road. I sort of like the idea of only being able to switch out the 6 FA pickups, it would put more emphasis on the draft and the keepers.

My only problem with not being able to replace the keepers or drafted players is what happens in the case of injury? If I have a minor legue pitcher get Tommy John surgery I don't think he is very usefull. Also if you are not going to keep someone. why would you be forced to keep them on your roster? I think you should be able to drop any MiLB player you want.

That would be the extreme case, but hopefully that doesn't ever happen to anyone again.
