MiLB-eligible players can be called up an sent down three times. If you have an MiLB player who is in the Big Leagues, you can call him up to your MLB roster if you like.

I understand a player with less than the minimum requirement of innings and at-bats can not be drafted in this draft but are these players allowed to be on our ESPN roster when the season starts? For example, can Jorege Soler be in Severe Punishment's starting lineup before he has reached 130 ABs? I ask because there are a lot of prospects who were kept that show in the available free agent list. Unfortunately there's no way to filter them out. If you inadvertently pick a minor league player who's inelligible for the draft, we will do our best to spot it and let you know asap so you can make a different pick. Just try to get in the habit of checking IP and AB when scouting a young player.

If anyone was wondering, I texted Ninja this morning, and a couple days ago when his last pick was skipped.

Thanks for the heads up! How does ESPN handle position eligibility? I have a few players who lost positions. For example Stephen Vogt played 15 games at Catcher and 18 in the Outfield last year but only qualifies for 1B.

It's based on 20 games at a position the previous year, or 10 games at the position the current year…so you've just missed the cut with both spots.

Glad Javier Baez (league min player) and Sonny Gray (league min player) were traded for Omar Infante ($5 mil) and Brandon McCarthy ($9 mil).
Welcome to the league KC Bandits. Please never do that again.

Please never do that again. Actually, McCarthy was my pick. Bandits actually got Drew Stubbs with the next pick (the 8th pick of that round, but listed as 6.09). He also got to keep 2 other players in addition to the picks that he made from that trade. </defense> But... it was still an ill-advised trade, as guys at league minimum with good upside carry a hefty premium in this league. Live and learn, my man...

Infante, Stubbs, Jon Jay, and Adam LaRoche for Javy Baez and Sonny Gray. Fucking brutal.

I think it's pretty early to be evaluating trades.
But in all honesty this league is barely holding my attention. There is no money involved, we were drafting at a time where ESPN FB was down, and I'm really in this league as a favor to a friend.
I am already worried about how much attention I'll pay to this league when my other leagues open up. But by the sounds of this guy being the evaluator of the league, maybe this isn't a league for me. I was willing to sit through a year and see how it goes. But not really interested in being berated by someone I don't even know. Got a lot of thinking to do.

Hey KC, Jackson is a jerk. We've all known it for awhile, you were bound to find out soon enough. Sometimes it's endearing, sometimes not. Now that you know, you can ignore him. It's smack talk, no big deal. He hasn't finished in the top 10 this decade.
As for money, every year whoever wants to throws in $20 and the winner (or whoever finished first amongst those who put money in) gets the pot.
As for the rest of it, we'd love to have you stick around. This is a challenging league that I've found improved my game in all my other leagues. You probably won't draft in any other league for a month, but here you've already been thinking about a pretty deep pool of players since December. Give it a chance.

And yes I am a jerk sometimes. I drink you see.
Don't quit, this league is challenging and fun. And I'm not the league evaluator, I don't know what I'm talking about and will probably disappear for a month at some point anyhow.
And yes its way too early to evaluate any trades, its barely February. I love Omar Infante this year too.
Matt I'm going to go unlike your Facebook profile picture right now. I was trying to extend the olive branch but I guess I'll pass. Just like Russell Wilson.

Again, if someone could text when it's my turn I'd appreciate it. One pick away from me right now in Round 13 and I've got to leave for work. I've got a list of four players and their salaries, so I'll know who I want.

Fangraphs top 200 prospects it out. Really digging it. Love that someone out there sees the need for more than just 100 prospects. I have the 200th player listed, although he's not necessarily #200. He definitely has some interesting names ranked a lot higher than what I've seen elsewhere.

I'm interested to see where Fangraphs ranks them.

Yes, you essentially have temporary roster spots until after the conclusion of the minor league draft.
We go MLB Draft --> MiLB Draft --> MiLB-free-agency-pick-up-period --> Open Free Agency for all. At that point everyone not on an ESPN roster will go into the player pool.
