I never saw no country, but There Will Be Blood was bad ass. I know a lot of people think it has a shot of picture of the year.

I had a feeling you would take him if I didn't. He was the best player left.

I am now awaiting the slack I'm going to get for taking Uggla instead of Brian Roberts... .

You would've been fine either way. I see why you wanted to trade up now, I doubt either Uggla or Roberts would've made it to you at #26.

I don't have a problem with Uggla over Roberts, given the salary difference. Dan Uggla is the Adam Dunn of infielders; even if he hits .240 he's probably going to hit 25 HR and score 90-100.

Basically. Uggla was a must-take for me given my needs, and I think he'll only get better. Of course, Cabrera's absence means Uggla will get pushed back to probably third in the lineup, but I'm alright with that and think he'd excel there.
I think since I already own Pierre and Martin that Roberts' speed would be overkill. I'd rather find speedy guys later and take the younger and stronger guy. Either way, I'd have been quite shocked had Roberts or Uggla fallen lower then 18 and 19. I was lucky enough to land either one of them as is.

McGowan is a GREAT pick at $300k. I was hoping he'd fall or go unnoticed. Rats. Good work.

I had my eye on McGowan as well, but not this early.

I needed another young arm to go with Yovani. McGowan was the best available on my list, and figured he wouldn't drop back to me in the third. Coulda gone best available with an infielder or outfielder, but I feel this fits my needs more and at a great price.

I was definitely taking Dunn at #23 had he still been there. Now I have to make another decision. I haven't even made a single pick yet.

With the way the draft has been affected by salary, I have no idea who I can risk leaving out there, and who I should take now.

With the way the draft has been affected by salary, I have no idea who I can risk leaving out there, and who I should take now. No kidding. I took a long look at Hermida and Kouzmanoff, and a few other youngsters before taking Dunn. I can't tell you how mpissed I am than Lincecum and cain both got snagged. Owners of both players should send me offers. I will overpay, it's a weakness.

Kouz figures to move to a corner outfield after this year, otherwise i would be very interested in him.

yea, I was targeting Cain with my second pick. Those young arms were in high demand early in this draft.

Wells is basically playing for free next year. He'll be the biggest bargain in the league.
