Hey fellas, Ive got to bow out. I was always annoyed with the people who couldn't post their moves and keep an updated team and now I'm one of those people. Ive had an awesome time but the league is over my head right now. It has become more work than fun, and i dont want to make the team worse when somekne else might be able to enjoy it more. This was the toughest year for me to do the draft and I'm not able to stay on top of anything and I apologize for that, especially to the handful of guys who have been here since the beginning.
Good luck to all of you and thanks for 6 fun years. Jackson

Sorry Jackson, we won't let you leave. Sandlot 4 Life. Or we'll give your team to Gary.
At this point in the season we're not really in a rush to replace a manager- do you want to take a little time and think about it?
In the meantime, If any of Jackson's players are about to lose eligibility they're off limits until a new manager is in place.

I never thought I'd see this day, and I'm bummed to see Jackson go. As I told him, he's the perfect blend of competition and assholishness, and he will be sorely missed in this league.
Personally, I don't think Jackson is replaceable. It may be time to consider contraction.

And I'll add that IF we contract Jackson's team we do it as a separate draft, either now OR immediately following the offseason. Josh

Josh I think we have 2 options 1) Freeze Jackson's team for the rest of the year then contract it in the off season. 2) Find a replacement manager now and continue the season as normal. I've always thought of contraction as a last resort-- once we contract it's almost impossible to expand again, and there's no way to be completely fair to all other team in a contraction draft. A mid-season contraction draft is off the table, in my opinion, there's no need and it would be impossible to be fair to every team. What would we base the order on, our standings through the end of April? My slow start gets me Machado or Posey and your hot start gets you Al Albuerquerque? If Dave or anyone knows someone willing to jump in who would be a good fit and who could handle the nuances, isn't that always a better idea?

I agree with Matt. Contraction should be a last resort. If Dave knows a guy that's interested, why not let him take over? Maybe it's also time to simplify the league just a little. I've been already begun thinking of some ways to do that, which we can discuss at the end of the year, perhaps.

If we're going to talk about simplifying the league, I say we talk about it now and see if it would entice Jackson to stay.

I appreciate you guys trying to get me to stay, but I'd been considering this for the better part of 2 years and I'm going to stick with my decision to move on.
I've tried my best to update the team for a new owner if you guys go down that path. There's $26+ million in cap space, and because of promotions the MiLB has 4 empty slots that could be filled today with MiLB FA's, and Chris Owings is 2 AB's away from losing his eligibility so that'll be a 5th MiLB FA.
I've left the roster with the best possible lineup in case you guys freeze it as well.
Thanks again gents, you're the reason the league was fun and the part of this I'll miss most is competing against you.
Mack, Josh, Matt, Bunge, Chris, Colin, JB, and Ruck especially. We started this thing together back in 2007 and it's cool to see a league like this so healthy after all these years later.
Cheers, Jackson

Jackson, sucks to see you go. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that if you ever want back in, we'll find a spot for you.
I don't like the idea of contraction. I've been inactive enough though that I can't really go against what everyone else says.
