I know it can't be an easy thing to replace an owner, but thanks for making the tough decision. Personally, his continued presence probably would have led to me leaving the Sandlot, as I felt the integrity of the league was close to being compromised. That's not something I thought could happen in this league.
The thing I love about the Sandlot is the fact that every owner, regardless of activity level, has what I consider a high baseball IQ. I feel like any of you could make decisions in a real-life MLB front office that wouldn't seem completely out of place compared to decisions that might be made by Theo Epstein or Andrew Friedman...but if you did, you'd at least have a rationale for your decision that made sense to me.
That was not the case with the owner who took over Jackson's team. As such, I believe we were left with little choice, and I believe the appropriate actions were taken. Well done.

There is a difference between real GMs and fantasy GMs. Real GMs have options..for example sending Danny Salazar to the minors. Now Jackson's team has a player who can not be optioned to this leagues minor roster (over the minimum), and can not accumlate stats...Must be wonderful to have all that baseball intelligence!!

The long-term nature of the Sandlot dictates that keeping Manny Machado and Danny Salazar are wiser decisions than owning Conor Gillaspie and Tom Koehler. Any team that would consistently drop its brightest young stars in favor of journeymen having good months to begin their seasons would ultimately be very unsuccessful in this league. Maybe you didn't understand the rules of our league when you joined. If that's the case, I apologize. Perhaps if some members of the league had offered you advice or guidance on how this league functions, things may have turned out differently. Best of luck to you in the future, Jason.

Even if you could foresee Salazar's move to the minors and believed that he and/or Machado would be worth essentially nothing, you could still use either/both of those guys to sell to one of the other owners who believed the opposite.
