So if you missed it, we're going to roll out a new master spreadsheet for the upcoming draft and season that will keep track of all rosters, salaries and prospects. You will no longer have to post MLB adds or drops or salaries, and you'll be able to easily see what minor leaguers are owned or not.
We will be raising the salary cap to $150,000,000 and the minimum wage to $500,000 this year.
Starting in 2016 we will use the salaries that are listed in the team spreadsheets on each Cot's team page (currently linked as "2014-19 Payroll Obligations." These include signing bonuses, sometimes averaged out over the life of the contract, sometimes paid out in one lump sum. Importing from Cot's spreadsheets saves a ton of time over manually keying in each base salary. Again, this will not go into effect until 2016.
The spreadsheet will be posted after keepers are declared and before the draft.
Thanks!

We voted during our last Winter Meetings to raise the cap to $140M and leave minimum wage at $480k.
Is $150M and $500k a unilateral decision or a typo?

$500k to match the actual minimum wage in 2014. Not something we need to vote on.
I thought $150mil was discussed, or at least the fact that our cap is super low and we never vote to raise it. Can't find it now, maybe it was just me and Josh on the phone. We can vote on that at Winter Meetings.

We've always voted on those things before, and I didn't know it was something we could change without voting, but an even $500k is fine with me.
