This poll is in response to the Machado/Salazar incidents earlier in the season, and some objection to the Baez/Gray deal that just happened. Basically we're seeing a pattern of new managers, who may or may not be accustomed to the differences between a dynasty league and a standard league, making big moves right away that don't seem great in the context of previous league moves, without shopping around or even making it known that a player is available. For almost all of us, this is our first league to use salaries and have a designated minor league roster, so it's hard to tell what's worth what at first.
The probationary period would last anywhere from a week to a month, depending on when the new manager joins the league, their level of activity once they do, etc. During this period, new managers would not be allowed to trade without first posting available players on a trading block for the whole league to see for at least 24 hours, and they would be allowed to "take back" drops in the event they drop someone of significant value.

Hello all, as a new manager here I am voting YES for a probationary period. Mainly because this league has me quite overwhelmed. I have played Fantasy Baseball for over a decade but never been in a league quite like this. I am sure with time things will come easier but I understand the importance of the learning curve, which is why I voted yes. Thanks for having me!
