By my count, he crossed the 50 IP threshold on 9/22. Nellie's had 7 days (9/23-29) to call him up, but didn't. His 48 hour waiver period (9/30-10/1) has expired.

This is correct, however the 48 hours doesn't expire until 12:00 a.m., PST on 10/2. I'm officially putting in my waiver request for Henry Owens.

Josh is right. He didn't clear waivers and become a free agent until 12:01 a.m. This morning. I was hoping no one else would notice so I could start him today, but I fell asleep...

Wait a minute...he crossed 50 IP on 9/22, so his 7-day waiting period (during which Nellie's had to add him) started at 12:01 am ET on 9/23. (As per our rules: "The owning manager has 7 days to call the player up for good, beginning 12:01am EST the calendar day following the start-date of the game in which eligibility was lost."
That 7-day waiting period ended at 12:01 am ET on 9/30, at which point he was considered dropped. That is when his 48-hour waiver period began. (As per our rules: "If the manager doesn’t add the player to their MLB roster within the 7 day grace period, they enter waivers as normal...")
That 48 hours expired at 12:01 am ET on 10/2.
I added him at 1:39 am ET on 10/2.
I don't understand the discrepancy. I should get him.

Not according to the Word document posted on this site with the league rules. "All dates/times referenced, if not otherwise stated, are EST." I find no reference in the league rules that state waivers extends for PST.

I misread this whole thing this morning, and I didn't look at the time stamps for the claims. We've never operated on PST, so by my calculations, Owens belongs to Colin.
