-Only players with more than 130 ABs or 50 IP in their MLB career will be eligible for the MLB draft.
-When posting your pick, please include the player’s name, team, position(s), and their previous year’s salary as indicated by the Cot’s Baseball Contracts website www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/. Remember, beginning this year we are using the salary posted in the spreadsheets located at the top of each team page.
-Each team will have the following amount of time to post their pick:
Rounds 1-5: 8 hours per pick
Rounds 6-10: 6 hours per pick
Rounds 11-18: 4 hours per pick
- The clock will be suspended between the hours of 12 midnight and 8am EST. Picks may be made within this window, but no one can be skipped. The time that your pick expires will be posted when you're OTC if possible. The clock starts when the previous pick has been made, or when the time window on the previous pick has expired. If you get skipped you may make your pick at any time after your window expires.
-All picks must be posted within 24 hours of the expiration of the clock on the final pick of the MLB draft. Any MLB pick not made by this time is forfeited.
-During this time teams are allowed to exceed the maximum MLB roster size of 30, via keepers, trades, and draft picks, but any MLB player not on an ESPN roster at the time the MLB Free Agency period begins is considered a Free Agent.
-MLB players who were kept or drafted can be dropped during the Draftseason, however any dropped players are not eligible to be drafted. These players become Free Agents and can be picked-up starting at the beginning of MLB Free Agency.
-No MLB players may be added as Free Agents until MLB Free Agency opens following the conclusion of the MiLB Free Agent Pick-Up Period.
-Managers can start trading draft picks for the next season at the beginning of the Draftseason (i.e, in January 2015 you can trade 2016 draft picks.)
-Drafted players should be added to your ESPN roster page as soon as possible, site permitting. At some point every mid-January the ESPN site closes temporarily for maintenance, please keep this in mind when drafting.
