So, Edwin Diaz was dropped on the ESPN site without any posting on Pro Board. I'm sure the intention is/was for him to be optioned down. I checked the rules but there doesn't seem to be anything noted about what happens to MiLB players if their owner fails to post their option down. Does this make Edwin Diaz a free agent? If so, I'm going to use this post as signing him to my MiLB roster - however, if it's ambiguous, I'd advocate for him to continue to be on Steve's roster.
Either way, can we add this to the off season rules discussion? (Or can somebody point out to me where it outlines this in the rules as they are written?)

I've seen a lot of ESPN transactions happen this year that aren't getting posted correctly, or at all, on Proboards. Things like whether or not we owe money on anyone we drop. We gotta tighten things up just a little.

Well, we no longer have to post MLB Adds/Drops

Oh. Well, it would be nice if people at least kept their roster pages updated so we know who is owned. I'd like to make some offers but I have no idea about most MiLB rosters.

Diaz is still my property as far as I know. He was dropped, but still has options. Sometimes life takes precedent over posting to pro boards, but no reason he shouldn't still be on my MiLB roster

I'll drop him from my MLB roster until this gets resolved.

We are required to post MiLB transactions, call ups/send downs, etc, it's in the rules. We are not required to post MLB adds and drops, theoretically I'm catching those and updating the master spreadsheet. That hasn't happened this season, I'm trying to play catch up but I'm a bit busier than previous years and it's taken awhile, otherwise everyone would have a nice updated roster to look at. So Diaz still belongs to Hit N Run.

FWIW, I think we should go back to posting all transactions and keeping up with our own rosters. I appreciate your efforts to take this on, Matt, but it's kind of absurd to expect one person here to look up salaries and determine how much each of us owes every time someone gets added or dropped without any mention of why he was dropped or if someone came on/off the DL. I know life gets in the way sometimes, and it's fine to give each other a little leeway, but imagine if life got in the way while you were trying to keep up with 15 teams instead of just your own.

So Diaz still belongs to Hit N Run. So I looked back and I'd forgotten we voted to increase the penalty for not posting required transactions in 2012. Because he didn't post the drop, Diaz entered free agency as normal. Walker did wait about 40 hours after the drop to add Diaz, more than enough time for Hit N Run to post the move. killinmesmalls.proboards.com/thread/9174/penalties-posting-transactionsI think this means Walker gets Diaz.
