Dave, just a personal issue, I guess. If you can replace "Message Board" with the League Name, I'd appreciate it. I've got like 4 Message Boards on my screen right now. Confusing as hell.

One quick question (and I don't know if this is the proper forum for this question)... Once the franchise draft is complete and we are to select MLB and MiLB players from that team, what (if any) rules are there in regards to determining which players are considered MLB and which are MiLB? Are all players listed on the MLB 40-man roster considered MLB even if they start the season in the minors?

It is my understanding that if they meet the rookie criteria specified on the league website you can have them on your MiLB roster no matter what. I could be wrong though.

I'll include the link to the league website also but here's what it says about MiLB eligable players: Minor League Rosters Minor league rosters will consist of up to 20 players. There is no minimum MiLB roster size. We'll begin the season with 5 MiLB keepers from your selected franchise and a 5-round MiLB Player Draft. There will be a 5-round MiLB Player Draft before each season. Each MiLB player will have 3 options, meaning a player can be sent back to your Minor League roster 3 times. Once the 3 options have been exhausted, the player must remain on your 30-man Major League roster or clear waivers to be returned to the minor leagues. Call-ups due to a player going on the disabled list will not count as a minor league option. To be eligible for the Minor League draft, a player must have maintained rookie status according to MLB rules: A player shall be considered a rookie unless, during a previous season or seasons, he has exceeded 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the Major Leagues. These players will not be eligible for the Major League Draft. Once a player loses rookie status, he can no longer be kept on your Minor League roster. You will have 7 days to place him on your Major League Roster. After one week, the player will be placed on waivers. The link is: www.freewebs.com/thesandlotleague/rules.htmThis is gonna be a blast welcome guys.

I'm guessing it HAS to be $300K as he would be considered a rookie in MLB.

never played in a salary league or auction whether it was football or baseball. have a question about salary. all teams salary is 115,000,000 If I had ARod his salary is 10yrs at 275million. then it count as 27,500,000 for 1 year so I would have 87,500,000 left for my team? Is that the concept I follow?
If you got a wise comment. KMA

I think we are supposed to use last year's salaries according to the contract website link on the league web page. For this season, that is. The site breaks down how much the player earns in each year of the contract, so I think we just use that each year.

All players will cost what their 2007 salary was. So what you want to do is go the salary website and look what it says for a player liek A-Rod. It'll breakdown every player and what they made in 07, that's what we'll use for their cost.
So if A-rod made 27,500,000 in 07 then he would cost you that much and your salary left over would be 87,500,000, just like you said.
