How are we going to handle the draft this week? Are the players that are drafted going to be available, or do we have to wait until next year to draft this year's draftees?

I think we should have to wait for next year's MiLB draft, right? Otherwise we're going to have a flurry of people adding them the minute they're actually drafted, combined with maybe dropping some of the 6 MiLB acquisitons they may have already picked up. Also, it would further deplete the players available in next year's MiLB draft (which is already going to be a bit skimpy.)

Any player taken in this year's draft should be frozen and ineligable to be drafted, otherwise what's the point of having a draft in the off season?

Sounds good to me. Just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page.

This is what I've been saying for months.
If the players are eligible right after being picked it will be a huge clusterfuck and make next year's MiLB picks completly worthless. There literally would be no point at all in having a MiLB draft ever again.

We're going to vote on it as a group. I've been super busy, and I apologize for not addressing this earlier. Since this is a mid-season issue, not a rule I foresaw and made concrete before the league began, I'm going to put it to a vote. For the time being, we're not going to pick up any of these players. If the league votes by majority to make these players available now, we will then vote as a group on a fair and organized process for obtaining them. Most of us don't have any remaining pickups anyway, and would have to drop players on our roster to obtain these guys.
