Everyone is available – looking to improve my MLB & MiLB keepers or draft picks.
Max Scherzer – Averaged about 17 W, 240 K, 4.5/1 K-BB rate, 3.20ish ERA over the last 3 years. Top FA SP this offseason, top-10 SP overall. Only $15.25mil next year.
Denard Span – 94 R, 31 SB, .302/.355 – Overall T-10th in R, 9th in SB, 18th in AVG. Among players with 30+SB this year: 2nd in R, 3rd in AVG, 4th in OBP. 2014 salary: $6.5mil. Will return to leadoff for one of baseball’s best offenses next year. Consistent, affordable 3-category stud who doesn’t hurt you anywhere.
Ben Revere – 49 SB, .306/.325 – Overall 4th in MLB in SB, 5th in NL in AVG. 2014 salary: $1.95mil. Played through ankle pain all year and recorded lowest walk rate of career (good candidate to see that OBP jump in 2015.) Only 26 years old.
Adrian Gonzalez – 83 R, 27 HR, 116 RBI, .276/.335 – Led MLB in RBI, 8th straight season with 99+ RBI. 32 years old and expensive, but as consistent as it gets. I can help cover salary.
Mike Fiers – 2014 between MLB and AAA: 174 IP, 205 K, 34 BB, 2.38 ERA, 0.92 WHIP. Costs league minimum next year.
Prospects:
Ben Lively, SP, Cin – Breakout 2014 saw K/BB rate over 3, ERA around 3, WHIP around 1, and an innings jump consistent with prep for the Majors in late 2015/early 2016. Carson Cistulli’s favorite prospect pitcher (if that means anything,) will be on most top 100 prospect lists this winter.
Austin Voth, SP, Was – Drafted in 2013 in the 5th round, jumped 2 levels in 2013 and 2 more in 2014, up to AA. Great in college, now tearing up the minors, has great fastball velocity complemented by a devastating curve and change-up. Will show up on some top 100 prospect lists this winter.
Clint Coulter, C, Mil – 2014 Brewers minor leaguer of the year: .287/.410/.520 with 22 HR in 126 games. 21 years old.
Mikie Mahtook, OF, TB – 2014 as 24 year-old in AAA: .292/.362/.458 with highest BB rate of career. Former 1st rounder poised to hit majors in 2015. Good writeup here:

Robert Refsnyder, 2B, NYY – .318/.387/.497 in 137 games between AA & AAA as a 23-year-old this year, after hitting .293/.413 last year. Yankees 2B of the future. From a Marc Hulet scouting report in July:
“The 23-year-old Refsnyder utilizes a short stroke that helps him get to the ball quickly. A contact I spoke to noted the prospect’s high contact rate against all types of pitches as a key reason why he’s been so successful with the bat. He has a strong eye and doesn’t chase bad offerings very often. Every time I’ve seen him play, he’s hustled out of the box regardless of where he hits it or how hard. He’s not loaded with immense talent but he has the makings of a solid big league hitter. His swing is not geared to hit the ball a long way, although I’m told he’s gotten noticeably stronger since turning pro and he’s certainly seen an increase in his Isolated Slugging (ISO) rate from .120 last year to .218 this season.”
Dalton Pompey, OF, Tor – Made MLB debut this September and hit first career HR off King Felix. Started the year in A+, hit .317/.392 with 43 SB over 113 minor league games. Will show up on some top 100 lists this winter.
