Looking to trade for the future. Interested in MILB draft picks, MILB keepers (mine SUCK), 2016 MLB picks, 2016 MILB picks, and younger MLBs that are on the cusp of being keeper worthy. Will also package player for a younger talent.
Obviously, my younger MLB players that are cheap will be harder to get as they are more likely to help me in 2016.
Easy to get:
*Cliff Lee-injured last year, but should be ready to go for spring training. His last full season (2013): 2.87 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 222Ks in 222.2 innings. Will pay salary if needed.
*Billy Butler-had a bad year last year, but still only 28, and moving on to Oakland, which is a good landing spot. Career .295 BA, .359 OBP and .808 OPS
*Jered Weaver-Still going strong at 32 with a career 3.29 ERA/1.15 WHIP/7.5K/9. Last year logged 213.1 IP. Will pay salary if needed.
Fairly easy to get:
*Hector Rondon-26 years old, $514K salary, the Cubs closer logged 29 Saves, 2.42 ERA 9K/9, 1.06 WHIP in his first year as closer. This year, he should be lights out.
*Matt Holliday- Coming off an "off-year", Holliday still had 83/20/90/.272. Expect a more .300 BA year from him, as his career average will attest to and you can add 10/5/10 to those totals for 2015. Will pay salary if needed.
*Anibal Sanchez-Had an injury-plagued year, but A-Bal is still only 30 years old. His last 2 years, he had a 2.57ERA/1.15WHIP and a 3.43ERA/1.10 WHIP. Will pay salary if needed.
*Andrew Cashner-28 years old, making 2.4 million, a 2.55/1.13 last year and a 3.09/1.13 in 2013. Pitching in SD, let's see if all the extra offense this year helps the win total.
Harder to get, but certainly gettable:
*Jonathan Lucroy- 28 and makes only 2 million, Lucroy is a .300 hitter with great numbers for a catcher 73/13/69. Rated rotochamp's #2 catcher for 2015 (after Buster Posey).
*Dee Gordon-Rotochamp's #5 ranked 2B for 2015, if you need stolen bases from a premium position, Dee's your guy. Only 26 and making a paltry $515K
*Jay Bruce- Had a down year, really down. But he's 27 and making 10 million, a good deal if he even approaches his career averages. Prior to 2014, here are his HR/RBI totals since 2011: 32/97, 34/99, 30/109.
*Jose Bautista-Joey Bats somehow is only 14 million a year through 2016. Mr. Dependable will net you 35-45 homers, and 100 RBIs with the lineup around him. And in the right deal, I'll pay his salary.
*Trevor Rosenthal-24 year old closer for the Cards, makes peanuts and will net you 40+saves with more than a K per inning.
*Huston Street- It seems like Street's been around since the mid-90s, but he's only 31 and closing for the Angels, so you know he'll get you a bunch of saves (40+). And he makes just 7 million.
*Hanley Ramirez-Will have OF and SS eligibility, so this is the year to grab him. Should mash in Boston; the #1 rated "SS" for 2015 on Rotochamp.
I'd be surprised if you could get:
*Edwin Encarnacion-Only makes 9 million, and a lock to net you crazy numbers. Last year, in only 128 games, he still hit for 75/34/98.
*Jose Altuve-24 years old 2B is the #1 rated rotochamps 2B for 2015.
*Jake deGrom: 26 year old NL Rookie of the year who started the year in the minors, and still ended up with a 9K/9 ratio with a 2.69 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, makes league minimum
*Corey Kluber: 28 year old AL Cy Young winner (Felix was robbed) with 269Ks, 18 Wins, 2.44 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. And he makes $514K.
