I have been eyeing Hurley for a while but I couldn't pull the trigger. Something about a pitcher for the Rangers just seems doomed.

Had a hard time deciding about keeping Samardjza. He just got lit up last year; not sure he's not a better receiver than a pitcher. If they call him up, he makes more than most other prospects, too. I decided to put Fukudome and Soto on the MiLB roster instead and let someone else worry about it. But, I still would have taken him in the next round.

I don't mind MiLB pitchers getting lit up early in their pro careers because the bumps in the road help their development. If they breeze through the minors and see no bumps - and then come to the bigs only to be a huge bust - then I mind. I just chalk it up to finding his bearings and look forward to an improved season this year.

I saw him in the College World Series as I go to most of the games here. He looked like a real prospect back then.

Yeah, there is. I still have a list of at least a dozen guys I'd like to have. I've got 70 guys left worth drafting on my list. I think. I've heard of 5 of them.

Hey, Killer B's, I'm all for letting you change the Patton pick, but it sure sounds like a smite to me.

Thanks, I will gladly except the smite as penance for the exchange. I am confident it will be allowed as precedence has been set and I got it in before the next pick was made.

PK still has about 50 minutes to go with his time, but I can almost guarantee he won't make it. So you're probably fine anyway, Howard.
