Obviously, shit happens. In a league that is this long term, it's not a really a huge deal for someone to have to put The Sandlot on the back-burner for a little while. A few of us have already had to do it. I don't have any issues with it provided we're kept in the loop. How long do we let a team remain completely inactive without any word before we strip the team of it's ownership and make a decision regarding the team?

Since nearly everyone here has a way of contacting at least someone else in the league a month is plenty long.

Even then, I would think a quick text or e-mail to any other member of the league would be possible within a month. Just to say, you know, "Stuck in Nicaraguan prison. Need co-owner for next 6-10 years." Or something like that. Although I've never done anything that would require prison time. In Nicaragua. And keeping to a loose definition of "require," of course. It was a long time ago. That girl looked at least 18. Don't judge.

Nice little thread, wonder what the wonder-man Matt will have to say. His other post expressed what he thought of participation. {This isn't supposed to be some fucking prison-system-mandatory-participation league, this is fantasy baseball. A game. A fun game that people should feel good about playing in. }
{If someone is gone for a year and stops responding to emails that's one thing, but if someone's just not active on the trading blocks that's their prerogative. }
We need an option for a year.....
Does anybody use the trading block feature on ESPN?

I voted 1 month due to the discrepency on what "inactive" could mean... If your satisfied with your players, you should not be required by anyone to make any moves.
If you have injuried players or players who have no reason on being on your roster or future roster, than yes.... 2 weeks should be the limit. If you are holding onto 4 or 5 injured players with huge upside, then of course you don't have to pick up players you deem unworthy just to fill a stat catagory.
We all have 2 minutes in a span of 2 weeks to make sure our roster's are up to date and competative.

My thinking on this is I don't care if you make trades or even free agent pickups (although this would be stupid because nobody has a perfect roster). What I have a problem with is DL guys in active roster spots. And as far as being on this sight, some people just don't chat much which is fine, but I think everyone should at least sign in on a regular basis to check their message box. Trying to trade with someone who won't even send a no thank you sucks. So I guess to summarize, I feel like the month of inactivity should be based on active roster being valid and signing in to this sight. If you can't manage to handle those 2 tasks without giving everyone a heads up, you don't deserve to belong to this league.
