does this league recognize arbitration, or will players be fre agents when they r eligible for arbitration?

bump, i think this is kinda important, especially if we decide to keep whole rosters. i mean big different between having players protected and losing them to free agency

I'm not sure how we would be able to reconginze arbitration in this league... how would it even work?

No, I don't want to do that much work. I don't want to worry about contracts or arbitration or any of that. We'll always use the previous year's salary, so evey player will always have a contract.

also, did we do a pole on 10 keepers vs. keeping the hwole roster?

We haven't done a poll on keepers yet. If there's interest in changing it we'll do one. As far as free-agency, it isn't going to matter, since we'll always be using the previous year's salary. Mark Teixeira might become a free agent before the 2009 season, but it's not going to matter because we'll be using the '08 salary that he will already have earned in real life. I didn't want to get too complicated with that kind of stuff.

If that were the case, I'd institute a sort of Rule 5 draft, where you have to leave a percentage of your roster unprotected, and other teams could select from those unprotected players if they wanted to.
