Matt proposed a date of Tuesday, January 10 for the beginning of our MLB draft, presumably because we began on January 10 last year (which was a Monday.)

I voted for earlier, mainly because I get really fucking depressed in the wintertime in goddamn Kansas, and I want to get this shit rolling ASAP.

This needs another option for me. I don't care when it starts. I am good for any of those.

10 days isn't much time to set up one's draft. I wouldn't mind voting for a full 2 weeks.

I'm with Matt, 2 weeks would be much better. Its not we'll be late either way.

I thought I was successfully throwing options out there without my personal bias, maybe not I mentioned January 10th only because we did that last year.

Whatever, Matt. I know it's your secret evil goddamn plan to make sure I stay depressed through another Kansas winter. I think we should start the fucking draft on New Years' Day, bitches!

Tuesday is perfect. I'm class all day on Mondays starting the 9th, and you all really don't want to have to wait for me to get out of class to make my first pick...

I've never even been to New Hampshire, but I'd live in New Hampshire over Kansas any day. Kansas is full of right-wing extremist wackos. It's fucking scary, man. They kill abortion doctors (and then pass weird-ass laws to make it almost impossible to perform abortions...stuff like there have to be a certain number of lightbulbs or windows in each room), we're the only state with NO state arts funding (the governor just killed it off), and we're the home of both Koch Industries and Westboro Baptist Church (the "God Hates Fags" guys.) Don't get me wrong...I'm glad to be at KU and getting my way paid, but damn this place is nuts. Lawrence is like a small oasis of common sense in the midst of the madness.

Gotta go with Colin on this one. But, he forgets to mentions that the prairie is an awful place to live, especially in the winter...no snow, lots of wind, grey sky, and corn stubble. New Hampshire is gorgeous, I'd give anything for a winter traverse of the Presidential range right now, or course I'd have to be hauled on a sled...
