Should we bump up the salary cap? It went from $125mil to $130mil last year.

How long did we have it at $125M before we raised it?

How long did we have it at $125M before we raised it? 3 seasons. Here's the history of our salary cap: 2008 - $115mil 2009 - $125mil 2010 - $125mil 2011 - $125mil 2012 - $130mil

I guess I'd be okay with raising it again. After all, minimum salaries are going up and I think we can anticipate real-life salaries going up as soon as immediately with all the new TV money coming in.
However, I don't think we should raise it more than $5M, and if we do it then I think we should wait 2-3 years before talking about raising it again.

The higher it goes the less relevant salaries become. Most teams are way below salary cap anyway.

I'd be okay with either leaving it at $130M or raising it $5M

As the manager that consistently has the highest payroll of any team, I'm actually in favor of holding to the $130 million for at least the next year. I understand many contracts are just increasing but by limiting the amount of money we can spend it puts more value on in and thus makes it a greater trade commodity.

I think $130MM should stay where it is for at least one more season.

I'm good with either raising or freezing. Consider me an abstention.

I think $130MM should stay where it is for at least one more season. Regardless of what I said before, I agree with this. There's no real reason to raise the cap. We had good reasons last year, but we really don't now. Our cap should stay the same for at least one more year.
