Currently, we have no structure in place for deciding how to deal with penalties for deliberate and/or repeated violations of the rules. This is for cases of suspected tanking, collusion, never posting, adding ineligible players, etc, basically all the stuff we hope no one will do. Option 1: Whenever suspected activity occurs, we will hold a league-wide vote deciding if there are consequences and what the consequences are. Option 2: We will elect a committee of 3-6 managers who will decide if there are consequences and what the consequences are if any such situation arises. In cases where rules are violated, two managers must declare their belief that the violations are intentional/repeated enough to warrant a harsher penalty then the already established penalty for that violation. In cases where no rules are technically or apparently violated, two managers must declare their belief that the situation warrants a harsher penalty. Once the situation has been "nominated," either the league (option 1) or the "competition committee" (option 2) will decide if a violation has actually occured, and if so, what the penalty will be. Penalties may include salary cap fines, loss of waiver priority, loss of draft picks, loss of players, and/or removal from the league. For each instance, an appropriate penalty will be determined at the time of the infraction, on a case by case basis. Please vote for one option only. Please see the discussion here: killinmesmalls.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wm2012&action=display&thread=9114
