Wait...why is it not reversed?
If you have a high draft pick you get a low claim...if you have have a shifty pick you get a good waiver number. That's how it works in every league, every sport.

It's the reverse order of the draft. That's how I wrote the rule, and that's how Matt wrote when he redid the rules page on the original league website.

I don't think Waiver order was in your original rules. Here's another discussion, which shows that we didn't have it worked out in 2009. (This was following a season when waiver priority was unintentionally set at zero and we couldn't change it.) killinmesmalls.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wm09&action=display&thread=3456You suggest "Waiver order=reverse order of finish?" and at that time the draft order was the reverse order of finish. Then the conversation gets hijacked and we never voted on it. I'm pretty sure I made a mistake when I compiled the rules above, caught halfway between "reverse order of finish" and "draft order." We conducted 8 or so waiver claims in 2011 doing it in the same order as the draft with no complaints. If we're going to change it, we better do it before Mark Reynolds gets an AB tomorrow for the wrong team (if it's the wrong team.) But I'm going to wash my hands of this, I think we got it right.

I think if we want to change it, we should put it on the agenda for next winter meetings.
