I don't have issue with the Boone pick. It's not much different than the Keith Foulke pick. Also, Boone is 39 and really sucks, so I'm sure it won't be an issue. Lol its all good, just saving money at this point

Lol its all good, just saving money at this point I'm screwing with you. It's actually a decent risk. If I'm not mistaken, Boone is third all-time in home runs among 2B, behind Kent and Sandberg.

Can't beat a comeback on a up and down guessing team like the Nats.He could get some decent time...dk how he'll do, but for 300k I'll take it in the 19th

I love risks like this, if you couldn't tell from my Foulke pick, heh. Sometimes it's not as black-and-white as many of us would like to believe.

Lol, like I said, can't beat 300k for his past numbers. I know he won't put up his past numbers, but...idk. He gets traded, might be an even better pick on my part

Bret Boone yikes....Nobody should complain about any picks this late in the draft. Role players or substitutes when your regular players team has a day off. Mid-season report card to find what team found the mother lode after the 15th round.
Bret Boone off of steroids who's next: Brady Anderson?

The 20th round should be interesting. Most of the players from that round won't be kept anyways.

I'm around if anyone needs anything the next couple of hours, but class starts in 8 minutes, so it might take a few minutes to respond. I need to be inconspicuous.

I know PK's up in the draft, but he just described himself to me as "drunk and confused". This could be an interesting pick. I'm guessing Warren Spahn is about to be selected.

You know, Rick Vanden Hurk was a guy I targeted before the draft as someone I'd like to take a chance on late in the draft, and I completely forgot about him. Instead, my dumbass drafted 137 year old Doug Brocail.

Spilborghs was the best pick I've seen in the last eight rounds IMO... excellent job.

Spilborghs was the best pick I've seen in the last eight rounds IMO... excellent job. Thanks. I've been thinking about for awhile, but my plan was to take pitchers. I figured I had enough, so I thought I'd take the best position player left. I hope he gets a few hundred at-bats this year, which should be reasonable considering Hawpe's struggles against lefties.

Word. Hawpe + Spilborghs for the Rockies last season:
192/661, .290, 96 R, 35 HR, 141 RBI, 3 SB.
Pretty nice.

Let's hope it still goes tomorrow... I was hoping this stuff would speed itself along.

I don't know what's more disturbing, that we could only manage 4 picks in 24 hours, or that one of those picks was Juan Gonzalez. MiLB draft starts tomorrow as planned.
