That outfield should look like DeJesus - Crisp - Guillen left to right, so yes.

Nah the library made porn-hopping fun. I always sat in the kids section and had Arthur sitting on my desktop. 'Twas adorable.

That outfield should look like DeJesus - Crisp - Guillen left to right, so yes. Thanks. Hes been my sleeper for the past 3 rounds. Its cheap steals, hopefull around 35-40 and maybe 15 homers and a 280 average. Not bad considering the quality of batters left that steal bases.

My next three or four picks look pretty good to that end, but it's a toss-up whether I'll get all four. I have tried to write down as many names as possible on a cheat sheet here and plan for the next 10 to 15 rounds... Though I have a feeling most if not all will be gone within the next five.

I have 3 guys that I want, and im not sure if either are really on anyones list as a must. The draft has been pretty good so far I think. I really wanted swisher, I think if hes not traded he will have a huge bounceback. And I wanted Coco, as I have been unsucessful in attaining a Steal guy for the price I want to pay. Now I just wanna fill the needs, Ive givin up BPA.

You and about ten other teams. I've seen some pretty bad picks so far that paid little or no attention to BAO.

While depth is actually pretty important in this league, maybe even moreso then other leagues, layers at this part of the draft have little or no value, unlike a regular draft where 7th round picks have value. We are in the 17th round, and thats pretty much what you do by that point. I guess Litsch was a reach, But I like his upside. Besides that I think the rest of my picks are pretty spot on.

Bullshit they have little to no value. Each team has a need or needs to consider. Inevitably, each round introduces both the BAO (best available option) player or the highest-ranking PRK (position ranking) player in filling either overall depth or the biggest need position.
No matter what, owners are forced to consider depth, age, salary figures, and other fantasy intangibles but are NOT forced to succumb to those factors in choosing players A over B. Sure there might be some added value in a guy who's three years younger than another, but the stat lines don't lie. The older guy, who has better stats and perhaps better consistency (a track record), is the better pick right now.
Sleepers, as Jackson defined earlier, are drafted way later than their present or potential value dictates. Sleepers in this league are the players who are chosen based nearly 100% on those intangibles I rattled off earlier. Are they sleepers if you choose them long before they should be selected? Nope. Instead, you just picked a guy you liked without considering the stat differential or keeper-quality value associated with that player and, say, another player who happens to be older and coming off of an equally strong if not better season.
So no, I do not agree with you that these guys have little to no value.

I meant trade value. My bad, should have made that known. When drafting early, 2 players may be drafted right after each other due to production, but one may be 5 years younger and command a higer value in a trade.
I agree with everything you said. I drafted Dye, mainly due to the reasons you said. Consistency and Quality stats.

Oh. Yeah, value fluctuates with MiLB talents by the month or year. Case in point, Felix Pie as we've all discussed in another thread. I would not trade a top MLB guy for a top MiLB guy now or ten years from now. It just doesn't make sense.

Do you even have to ask that? Of course he does. Well I do to, and so does Gary. We're in the Whackin' Off to Arthur Club (WOAC). You should check it out. www.lovethataardvark.com

Fautino de los Santos had TJ surgery last season, too. Another good arm in the A's farm system.
