Ah. I figured you were taking it in stride, but I just don't like bad internet karma screwing everything up. There are always fears that owner resentment would kill off a league more often than it would allow them to start. And pretty much nothing I say anywhere is of serious ill will. So, I'm glad things are cool. Haha.
Meanwhile, I could use a sip of some Jack. Damn my blood pressure!

BTW, nice pick in Gabbard, i was taking him if he fell. when i realized he was still there last night i was shocked. i was thinkink the same thing, then i realized it was kason gabbard and that's why he wasn;t picked yet |

I say let the kid make mistakes and continue to stink it up. Maybe he'll surprise some of us in a year or two. I take it I'm "the kid?"  You guys are too much! I'm dying to explain my reasoning for paying $24 mil for Burrell, but I'd rather wait until the draft is over to reveal my strategy. Burrell was the best OF left and had his smartest year at the plate last year, fewest K's and most BB. I think he'll have a great year. He's worth every penny. There's more to it of course, but that will have to wait. FYI: I'm 27, I've been playing fantasy baseball for years, and I have a number of championships under my belt. I know exactly what I'm doing. It will be my pleasure to show you all a thing or two this year, and who knows? Championships are usually about picking the right players and avoiding bad injuries. I think I'll be just fine. glad to see we've found the league narcissist.  |

man this sucks... I have nothing to do all day and that board would have been a big part lol
I guess most cheap young starters are gonna be a good value pick at this point but I'm not a fan of Gabbard... A soft throwing lefty in that park... I tend to think he will not have a strong year but then again at this point in the draft hes def worth a shot

Yeah I've been torn about Gabbard for a while - will he get better? Worse? Same?
I kind of like him. He's only 25 and just now starting to see what he's made of - that hitter's park will teach him how to keep it under control. And at this point in the draft, I might as well take a chance on him.
Next pick will be less of a risk and more of a needs-only contributor.

Hah! That's awesome. I think you coined a new term. Speaking of which, about 25 of the people I work with got together to see Cloverfield the night it came out, and one guy in particular hated it, so now whenever something gets fucked up or someone really stupid comes in the restaurant, he describes them as 'Cloverfield'.

What does everyone think of ortmeier.. Like him, but I'm a Giants fan so I'm biased. Has Adrian Gonzalez qualities, but far more raw. Should hit for a decent average for a big guy, will certainly get to play. |
