The deal was contingent on Chris Young being available, but if I understand correctly, Buckner wants to do the deal even though Young was taken. Either way, I want the trade to go through.
So Buckner, you are on the clock. Pick.

I think I see what you're saying, Ryan. You posted the trade, he accepted, and then you went back and modified with the clause in it, which he accepted again, correct? That brings up another issue; I didn't see the trade posted without the clause, so if a trade has been posted and then modified before being finalized, the post needs to clearly state that a change has been made, and I need to see that both players have accepted the modified deal. I can't necessarily discern that from what was posted.
Maybe this is overkill since we're all relatively familiar with each other, and I certainly don't want to imply that I think any member of this league would do something that isn't completely above the board (I wouldn't have invited any member of this group if I did think that), but I feel approving every transaction in this manner is simply the right thing to do.

For clarification, the deal always had the clause, he just neglected to include it when he wrote the post. I preferred the deal without the clause, so this is ultimately what I wanted from the start.

It's cool if you include that type of info in the post. I just want to be sure I always go by what the post says. I don't want to infer anything, and I don't want to take one guy's word when another isn't around. It's entirely possible that the two of you got your signals crossed and interpreted the deal two different ways. This is just me trying to overlook as little as possible.

You think that was too early?? No, not too early, especially the way the draft has gone thus far; we just have different draft strategies I suppose. I think Hamilton could have a really good year in Texas.

now the question, was Wainwright the best SP to take? There's a lot of them left. I decided to go young and cheap because everyone else seems to be going young and cheap...

Wainwright was a good pick. Good contract and favorable division and league. I almost took him over McGowan just b/c of AL East vs NL Central, but liked Dustin's upside enough to grab him.
