What am I missing about Swisher? He's a really poor man's Adam Dunn. He could hit .228. Just draft Paul Konerko or Adam LaRoche or Jermaine Dye or Matsui or any of the guys that should hit .270 with 25 homers and a nice OBP.
In a somewhat related story, I once saw a hammered Nick Swisher autogragh a girl's tits in the parking lot of a bar (he made her nipple the dot in the 'i' in 'Swisher').

Only Swisher hits in that brutally good Yankees lineup. That's the difference.
And he only costs $5M and some change (can't remember off the top of my head).

But that lineup and park brought his numbers up to where they are now. It's not like he hit .249 and is about to be in a better situation. I like Swisher, I guess I'm just surprised to see everybody bummed that he got taken. I'd much rather have LaRoche.

I'm with Jackson. It's not that he's bad, but I don't see how he isn't interchangeable with some other guys.
Buckner, you going for the all-DL team? I don't think Bedard nor Volquez will be back till the 2nd half (Volquez till August?).

I know some people here hate him....but 15th round in a dynasty league is a steal for Joba.
Well done Shannon

Maybe if the Yankees cut Swisher in the middle of June and let LaRoche play for the rest of the year, they would get 40 HR out of their right field slot.

People like Matt! Even you gotta admit, for a team like Shannon's....a 24 year old kid that gets K's, on a great team, was a huge prospect. 15th round??? Great pick Shannon says I

I almost took him, purely on upside.. good pick. He doesn't even get holds because they don't trust him in the 8th.

It's Ryan's pick, so everyone text him endlessly until he picks.

I'm pretty sure Gary wanted everyone in the league to text him repeatedly when it was his turn.

It's good to have astute owners making smart picks. Long gone are the days of assholes picking Alex Gordon in the first round one year or Milton Bradley the next year. Chamberlain in the third round of a re-draft is ingenious. Love it.
(Sorry I didn't comment earlier... Didn't realize the picks were being made while I was working/commenting/not working).

Lol, What can i say i have certain players in mind. Josh and I were talking about this earlier, but I hear Oil Can Boyd has been working out with Pedro Martinez on and off. He is considering doing public workouts for a number of teams with his ultimate goal being a return to baseball in 2010. Now that he's on your mind, round 17 seems appropriate.

Buckner, you have $5,436,000 remaining in your 2010 budget. I figured someone should tell you before you pick Carlos Silva next round.
