I have a list of about 15 players from various positions I'm looking at. With talent getting so thin though, the players on my lists are dwindling much faster. We're almost to MR territory (which I hope Dotel isn't)

5 picks in the last 30 hours, this draft has grinded to a halt! It really is a shame........

Has anyone contacted Mack? I texted him about 3-1/2 hours ago. I don't know if anyone contacted him before that.

Just so everyone knows, I can't make any guarantees about picking until I get home from work. I may be able to on a break, but all my Sandlot files are on the home comp...

You could say 9 picks in 2 days, or you could say 5 rounds in 7 days. Last year it took us 10 days to get this far.... Notable 5th round picks from 2009, Aaron Hill and Chris Carpenter....all these people complaining about the lack of talent.....trade me your picks I see a ton of guys I want.

I'm home all day resting and recuperating, so my pick will be quick. 15 minutes between picks is ridiculous, the draft will still be done 2 weeks before pitchers and catchers report.

Round 5 last year is round 3 this year, 2 more guys kept. Still, there is talent, but it is dwindling, and it seems like every guy off the board is someone I was targeting, which really didn't happen in the first 3-4 rounds.
Of course it's ridiculous Matt, that was the point.
5 picks in over 30 hours is a lot slower than what we were doing, which was about a round per day. It really makes the weekend drag on when u have no life. This breaks the monotony.

Sheets salary should be the minumum, and out of all the people I wanted, I was hoping he would drop to me the most. DAMN!

I wanted Ben Sheets really badly. But I think I'll go with a rebound candidate to round out my offense.

I just wanted Sheets to make it until 6.1 If he's healthy for 3/4 of the season it will be the steal of the draft.

Sheets' salary should be what he made in the last year of his contract, because if it was the minimum he would have gone in the first round.

I disagree, but I'm obviously biased since I'm paying the salary so I'll defer to the group. That said, it's stated in our rules that the players salary for Sandlot equals their previous year's salary, with a minimum salary for those who did not have MLB contracts the previous season.

It goes off '09's salary, which was nothing. So it should be the minimum, IMO.
Hey Bunge, how stoked are you going to be if he signs with the Cubs.

I was just telling Jackson that it would hurt badly. For Sandlot purposes, I'd rather him end up in the NL b/c it's easier. But no Brewers fan wants to see him on the North Side and have to face him a couple times.

Ah, see, I don't know all the rules yet. If that's in the rules then I agree, his salary should be the ML minimum. Oh, and fuck me for not reading the rules. Sheets for the ML minimum would be a steal no matter where he was taken, even if you only get half a season from him.

But I'm 95% sure that is how the rule is set up.

I was about to draft Sheets at $400,000 instead of Hardy....that should be definitely be his contract.

I can't believe how this moved along, fifteen picks so far today. I better look into who is available, the vultures completely un-corked my queue.....
