I love the Liriano pick.... I'm a sucker for a guy who's 1 year removed from Tommy John and for a short period of time was the best pitcher in baseball.

Jackson nice pick with Franklin Gutierrez very cost conscious pick. I was so surprised Dickman didn't keep Gutierrez & Cuddyer. Anybody else surprised?

I was watching him just because he's been pitching well in winter ball, but no way I was going to take him in the first few rounds. I'm glad someone else did, though. Could be a huge payoff...or a huge bust. |

The upside is intriguing, but I couldn't afford a first round bust on a SP so I had to go either Oswalt or Buerhle. |

Maybe we should have started this thing on a Saturday instead of on a Sunday. Starting with two weekend days might have gotten us a little further along before the work-week started.
Whatever. At this rate, I'll be making my second-round pick sometime around Super Bowl Sunday.

If i didn't have 2 first rounders I wouldn't have done it, but I need a pitcher who can get me k's and this season I am a long shot anyway. It might have been a reach but fuck it, I didn't keep him and if he exploded on someone elses roster I would be pissed. |

I don't think it's a reach. I think there were only a few true "first rounders" in this draft anyways, and it might have went a lot differently if closers wouldn't have started going by the bunches.
I certainly don't envy those of you with picks on the ends. I HATED that last year.

A lot of guys dont use multiple browsers or tabs so when they are doing stuff like research they close the page, or he might have just decided on that one pick and wants to think the second 1 through. He has another full slot to pick from, Noone should be rushing anyone really.

I would have given you Manuela for those 2 players you dropped (Franklin & Cuddyer). That means you could have had Manny for nothing....... I see your at it again. adding an Uggla for 5+million. And i posted about 5 posts saying Cuddyer and Gut were available, I dont remember getting a Pm from you inquiring about either, and also trading for Manny after the draft is a heck of a lot different then trading for him before and having to keep him over someone. I have about 6 starting spots left to fill, 1b,C,Util and some relief, give me uh break.
